* Was born in Houston, Texas, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, worked most of his career for a Texas company, and has a Dallas, Texas area code on his cell phone-but lives in Missouri (St. Louis)…

* Enjoys cycling and completed the Bike Across Kansas once, which is much longer than the Bike Across Rhode Island…

* Had the privilege to lead multiple global project teams, traveled extensively to Europe, Asia, and Japan, and has friends all over the world-the best part!

* Really gets excited about improving business processes using GTS-really!

* Is married to a wonderful woman from South Africa (great accent!) and enjoys telling stories about the beautiful places and adventures they shared there-ask him about them (if you have the time!)….

* Shares his home with a talkative cockatoo named Abbey who is sometimes an uninvited guest on phone calls…

• Born and raised in Minnesota minus a short stint in Australia during his youth. Lived in the Midwest, West Coast, East Coast and now back in the Midwest.
• Went to Gonzaga University for his undergrad and MBA then Hamline University for his law degree. Lifelong Bulldog fan thanks to his days at Gonzaga.
• Started in Trade Compliance and has since moved into SAP GTS and enjoying every minute of it… Loves working at the crossroads of business, law and technology.
• Total geek at heart… loves all sorts of scifi media (books, movies, podcasts, galore)… has even been known to frequent a scifi convention or two.
• Loves to learn new things so when given the chance tries to pick up new books or take a class to try something new.
• If you have trouble figuring out his last name… the easiest way to learn it is by thinking of the beer, Heineken, and replacing the ‘k’ with an ‘n.’

  • Has had the pleasure of visiting 31 of the 50 United States; real visits – airports don’t count.
  • Played the bass drum in a bagpipe band for a few years.  I will not confirm or deny the rumors about what is worn under the kilt.
  • Has experienced the companionship of at least one dog continuously since he was four years old.
