Two new SPL list types were published for MK Data Sanctioned Party Lists subscribers. The two new list types to add are:
ISA – Iran Sanctions Act
INKSA – Iran, North Korea and Syria Nonproliferation Act
Since SPL List Types are configuration and are not master data, the list types will need to be created by your IT team and transported to your production environments. This should only take a few minutes, by going into the Control Settings for SPL Screening item in the IMG menu and copying one of the existing lists (all your lists should have the same settings, so it should not matter which one you copy).
If you upload your SPL delta files automatically, the file from last night may not have loaded properly. To see this, go to Sanctioned Party List Screening –> Master Data tab –> Search Upload Logs and check for a “stop sign” icon displayed for the 5/31/2011 file (and if you haven’t been checking this log regularly, you may find some other stop signs you didn’t expect). This is because there are ISA entries and the ISA list type did not exist in your system yet. Once the new list types have been defined and transported to your production environment, the May 31, 2011 delta file will need to be reloaded and your SPL indexes need to be regenerated.
As usual, if you have any questions or would like to add your own thoughts to this topic, please enter a comment to this blog entry.
